To better yourself, you need to challenge yourself. All the potential you need to overcome these challenges is already inside you. It’s just about finding a way to unlock it.

The best way to start is by making small changes to your daily routine. But, it gets even better if you can share these experiences with other people who are on their own journey of self-discovery. That’s why I’ll be setting myself, and any willing participants, a new challenge every month.

30-day challenges give you plenty of time to get into good habits that stick! Commitment to the challenge will boost your self-confidence and sense of achievement, proving to yourself that you can be that strong and productive person you aspire to be.

With perseverance and support from our online friends, we’ll be able to replenish our bodies and minds, shedding the shackles that have held us back.

So what’s the first challenge?

For our first challenge, I thought we’d start out with something simple that can provide you with countless health benefits.

This month, the challenge is to drink one cup of hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice every morning. Take a quick snap of yourself making or drinking this healthy concoction each morning, upload it to Instagram and tag my account so that we’re all in it together.

The vitamins and minerals contained in lemon juice give your body a bit of a jump start, getting your digestive system working and boosting energy so that you’re ready for whatever the day can throw at you. You’ll be amazed at how much more energised this extra nutrition helps you feel after just a few days, so start stocking up on those lemons!

How would lemons and hot water help me?

Lemons are jam-packed with natural goodness. They have anti-bacterial properties, and are full to the brim with essential compounds like vitamin C, potassium, calcium, citric acid, phosphorus and magnesium.
