Choose wisely

I love Fridays. Mostly because it is a day off for me (So is Saturdays) but it is a day that I dedicate to myself. To doing what ever it is I want to do. Yes my options are limited over here and I have mostly only my bedroom to do it in – but I still love it. Whether it is reading or watching a movie, or just listening to music. I choose to do something for me. And it feels great. Today I decided to take a look at where I am and how I got here. Knowing very well that it was a combination of circumstances and the choices I made that lead to this very moment.

Every single choice you make will have an impact on the life you live and the person you are and will become as you grow. I have a dream to be a Crossfit athlete. For those who know crossfit, you will know that is a massive dream. Some may even say it is unattainable. But that does not change the fact that I have it and I am going to work towards it. Having a dream takes dedication and commitment. I am aware of every single choice I make with my dream in the back of my mind. Will this take me closer or further away from that dream? Will eating this man size pizza take me closer? No. Will training when I am sick take me closer? No.Will working on my weaknesses even when I dont feel like it take me closer to my dream? YES YES YES. You see every single action or inaction is a result of a choice. No matter how small. What is your dream? Are your choices taking you closer to your dream or further away?

Take time before making decisions. Think about your goals & dreams. About where it is you want to be and all the million steps in between. Each choice deserves your full attention. Don’t live in the future, stay in the now. But know that the choices you make now will have an impact on the future - if and when it comes to be the present.

BANANA PANCAKES - DAIRY/SUGAR/GLUTEN FREE

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • Mash together until a batter is formed
  • Cook on a medium heat pan (like you would a pancake) until cooked and browned
  • Enjoy with honey & Fresh Fruit
