21 Day Sugar Detox
The harder the race, the sweeter the victory.
Today was a really hard day for me. I don’t think it has anything to do with the detox – but I sure did have a few moments where I just wanted to eat a piece of cake or grab a Afghan Naan and go and cry on my pillow. I didn’t of course. I know that eating anything because of a way that I am feeling will not change the way I am feeling. Or help me through the situation. Something I learnt over the last few months. But sometimes it is just easier isn’t it – not to think of logic or reason but just to act, much like a child. After all allot (if not most) of our spur of the moment (emotionally fueled) actions are that of our inner child.
I am very blessed to have an amazing person in my life who is my best friend and a great source of calm for me. So after speaking to him I felt a bit better. I also have a very loving and supporting family and amazing friends. These are the real jewels in life – people that carry you when you cant carry yourself. Who believe in you when you have given up. Today I needed to persevere – but I didn’t want too. I wanted to stop. But they all helped me cross the finish line. And now I feel OK again. The day has passed and I have made it through. What is done is done. Today I learnt that it is ok to have a different view or opinion. And just because I am the only one with that opinion does not make it any less right or substantial. Always fight for what you believe in and be ready to deal with the consequence that may come with. Appreciate the people that love and care about you and ask for their advice. They will have your best interest at heart. And most of all - trust your inner voice.
Sometimes you will have to stand alone, and it will be difficult. But it will be worth it.
I ended my day with a great workout YEY BACK IN TRAINING and cant wait for tomorrow to get fitter & stronger! I absolutely LOVE Crossfit and it gives me something I have never found in any other form of training - a sense of belonging and a hunger to return the next day. I want to do better, lift heavier, move faster. All of this leading to a better LIFE as my body is able and ready for anything.

Brunch: 3 Egg Scramble, Bacon & Carrot Juice
Lunch: Carrot & Cucumber fingers and strips of beefsteak
Dinner: Grilled white fish & grilled onions with green beans & cucumber
